Camellia Oil

Camellia oil has outstanding moisture and emollient properties and it is one of the lightest and fast absorbent plant oils. Contains mono-saturated essential fatty acids and very high in oleic acid (Omega 9 fatty acid), vitamins, A, B, and E and one of the most precious constituent for skin such as phytosqualene. Squalene is a natural component of human sebum. With age the deficiency of squalene results in dry skin, premature aging and wrinkles.

Camellia oil protects skin from harmful UV and environmental damage, forming a thin shield against strong sun rays and change of temperatures. It also known to protect from age spots, freckles and excessive pigmentation. It is safe to use around eyes to prevent from crowfeet and mimic lines.

Seaweed, when applied to the body, draws excess fluid and waste products from the skin. It also acts as a cleanser for dead skin cells and other impurities on the surface.

Rosacea is a skin condition which causes facial inflammation, swelling and a red discoloration. Seaweed is rich in vitamin B-1, B-2, B-3, B-6 and B-12, a natural anti-inflammatory. This reduces the pooling of blood beneath the skin, alleviating the symptoms. Topical lotions and creams with seaweed can nourish the skin from the outside, causing a similar or dual effect.

Seaweed’s natural, anti-inflammatory compounds can have a positive affect on acne explosions. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, acne is caused by release of sebum, or oils, which prevent the skin from drying. Pimples are inflammations of the skin pores, which trap the oil, resulting in blackheads or whiteheads, deeper pimples or cystic acne. Seaweed’s anti-inflammatory effect reduces the swelling of the explosion. It is also can be used as a natural exfoliant to remove dead skin cells, which can block pores.

Rosemary oil tones and firms the skin. The herb is an astringent, helping to reduce excess oil in skin and hair, according to Frontier Natural Products. Rosemary tones and firms sagging skin, notes Dermaxime, and it is used as an ingredient in anti-aging products. The disinfectant and antibiotic properties of rosemary contribute to its use for treating acne, dermatitis and eczema, according to Guide to Herbal Remedies.

Sage stimulates cell renewal and increases blood circulation as it is rich in calcium and vitamin A, which are needed for daily cell regeneration. This renewal process helps minimize and delay the onset of facial wrinkles. Sage improves the appearance of unsightly varicose veins and broken capillaries by reducing redness and restricting capillaries.

Sage assists in improving acne, chapped skin, and relieving symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.

Alpha-bisabolol – a compound found in chamomile – reportedly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by accelerating the healing process of the skin while also possessing anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory properties.

The chamomile herb has anti-inflammatory properties because of the flavonoids it contains. These flavonoids treat dermatitis related inflammation by preventing the release of histamine – a chemical that causes itching, swelling, and redness. Because of its anti-inflammatory effects, chamomile is also used to treat sunburn, burns, and other minor forms of skin irritation.

Rice Bran Oil

Rice bran oil has a deep-moisturizing capability. This is due to its combination of vitamin E and fatty acids, which go deep into skin to improve its ability to hold onto hydration. It’s recommended as an alternative to the popular lanolin for helping to soothe irritable and “alligator” skin.

Rice bran oil is considered an anti-aging secret in Japan. The natural vitamin E plus vitamin B help increase elasticity while maintaining hydration, which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Rice bran oil also contains “squalane,” which is a natural organic compound that helps with the synthesis of cholesterol and vitamin D in the human body, and is also a natural fat produced by human skin cells. By helping to replenish our supply of squalane, rice bran oil helps the skin naturally regenerate itself, leading to younger, fresher looking skin. Rice bran oil has a slight anti-melanin property that helps protect from the sun and brighten skin, helping to face dark spots and smooth skin tone. Antioxidants like beta-carotene and lycopene protect from free radical damage, and enzymes like CoQ10 infuse the skin with active components that help it maintain its youthful glow.
